By Air: The best way to travel to Leh is by Flight. You can get daily flights from Delhi to Leh Ladakh from all the major airports.
By Road: There are two routes which leads to Ladakh. One from Srinagar (434 km) and another from Manali (474 km). All roads remain open from May to October.

For biking and adventure enthusiasts, a bike tour is the best way to enjoy the thrill & scintillating Ladakhi landscape with cool and fresh breezes accompanying you.

Basically, you can cover the major destinations of Ladakh in duration of 7-10 days. If your purpose is trekking then you may have to increase the duration accordingly.

You just go for a T-shirt and shorts for the Daytime, but for the chilly evenings, make a check list for Jacket, Pullovers, Windcheaters & Raincoats (for possible rainfall in June & July), Woollen clothes, Gloves, pair of waterproof shoes (for trekkers), emergency medicines and don’t forget that camera of yours to capture your incredible journey to Ladakh.

Unfortunately, there is no direct train service available to Leh. Alternatively, you can reach Jammu and take a bus or taxi to Leh via Srinagar and Kargil.

As the altitude increases, people may experience less oxygen in the air which leads to Altitude Sickness. So, yes there is less oxygen in Ladakh and it’s possible that you may find difficulty in breathing but you can prevent this.
